Openings for Research Fellow and Research Engineer positions in the areas of design and development of novel medical devices.
Researchers will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, designers and engineers to design and develop an innovative real-time tracking system for monitoring and verifying insertions down in the nasogastric pathway.
This project involves:
- Devising and implementing a non-invasive real-time, accurate localization system using passive magnetic fields to estimate location of instruments inside the body
- Developing a novel algorithm and sensing scheme to that incorporates robustness and redundancy
- Performing laboratory and experimental trials on phantom models and possibly transitioning to clinical trials.
