The mission of Digital Manufacturing and Design Centre (DManD) at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is to create frontiers in design and manufacturing enabled by the digital thread and workflow that integrates the manufacturing value chain. DManD’s research aims to advance the future of manufacturing by converging the interactions between design, material and manufacturing innovation which creates new degrees of freedom for next generation product development. Outcomes from the projects in DManD have been demonstrated in industry sectors such as precision engineering (photonic structures), soft robotics, architecture & furniture, marine & offshore, textiles and medical devices.
About DManD Public Symposium 2019
DManD will be sharing its research outcomes, achievements and successes with industry across the 4 thrusts, namely Digital Design, Soft Mechatronics, High Resolution Additive Manufacturing (AM) and Large-Scale AM. Besides the oral presentations, other notable capabilities will also be highlighted during a poster session held in conjunction with the lab tour.
