Visualize and animate with Motion Capture Data and 3D Studio Max
Taught by Sumbul Khan & Akash Vibhute | 5-7 PM, Wednesday August 17 | 1.611 ASD Computer Lab
Ever wondered how computer generated characters look so life-like in animation films?
With motion capture systems, designers can digitize and recreate finely nuanced motion of humans, animals and objects. Current technology in motion capture systems offer comprehensive and precise data, immensely benefiting diverse application domains such entertainment, medicine, life sciences and engineering. With motion capture data, designers can analyze complex motion with ease and use it for customized designs.
The workshop will be a hands on lab. It will introduce participants to the working of an optical motion capture system. Participants will learn how to use motion capture data for analysis in Vicon’s Nexus software, and for quick animations in 3dsMax.
Want to participate? Please reserve a spot by filling in the sign-up form by Monday August 15. Everyone is welcome, and refreshments will be served.
Hope to see you there!
